DataSabi is a free Linux desktop app that shows which app is using your internet data, live and per app. It's built for people on a MiFi or phone hotspot where data is limited, and it alerts you when one app starts eating data fast (50 MB in 15 minutes by default, adjustable). Requirements: Ubuntu 22.04+ or Debian 12, and a MiFi or hotspot connection. Install needs sudo. Fedora support is in beta. How to join: 1. Download: 🔒 Link unlocks after you join 2. Follow the install guide: 🔒 Link unlocks after you join What testers do (over a few days): - Install DataSabi and use your MiFi or hotspot as normal - Check which apps used the most data and whether any alerts fired - Send your report: 🔒 Link unlocks after you join - Or reply or DM @zieecodes on X with anything confusing, anything that looked wrong, and what you'd want added What you get: testers who send feedback get credited by name in the release notes. Not on Linux? You can still help with a 4-minute survey: 🔒 Link unlocks after you join

What we'll ask you

  1. Which apps used the most data on your machine?
  2. Did any data alerts fire, and did they feel right?
  3. Anything confusing during install or setup?
  4. What would you want added?
