Earlynest vs BetaFamily
Recruited testers on demand, or people who were already looking for you.
BetaFamily is a testing service: it recruits testers, and you pay per test. Earlynest is a community: the people who follow your category opt in to your call, and you keep talking to them. Both are legitimate. They are not substitutes.

Where BetaFamily is the better choice
- BetaFamily can recruit testers today from its own pool. Earlynest has no pool yet: you are asking people who follow your interest to opt in, and some calls will fill slowly.
- If you need to satisfy Google Play’s closed-testing requirement, a dedicated tester service is built for exactly that and Earlynest is not.
Questions founders ask
- Do I need both?
- If your product is a mobile app that needs store testing, keep the tester service and add an Earlynest call for the people who want to keep using it afterwards. If you are a web product, the tester service usually is not what you need.
- Will Earlynest guarantee a number of testers?
- No. There is no pool to draw from, so we will not promise a count. Calls fill from the interest communities they are posted in, and you can see how many people follow a community before you post.
- What stops people from joining and ghosting?
- A perk, a spot count and a deadline, then one check-in from you afterwards. It is not a contract, but it filters out the people who were only browsing, and you can see exactly who joined.
